About the Program:
The PENC Student Adoption Program is another opportunity for our members to support engineering education and promote the path to licensure. Under this program, our members agree to "adopt" a college student at one of the ABET- accredited engineering programs across the state (NC State University, UNC-Charlotte, East Carolina University, Duke University, and NC A&T).
How it Works:
Our members serve as mentors to the students they adopt. This involves offering academic help, career advice, and moral support in at least two meetings per month (virtual or in person). Members who serve as mentors have the opportunity to make a positive difference in an engineering student's life.
Students who participate in the program not only receive a mentor but FREE membership in PENC and all of the benefits that accompany it.
